Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99)

The Sea to Sky Highway really does feel like you're going from the sea up to the sky. Going north from Vancouver, the highway hugs Howe Sound, then winds up to Whistler, an alpine valley flanked by snow covered mountains. As the highway continues north the scenery is even more dramatic – emerald lakes and pointy volcanic peaks that touch the sky.
    Squamish
    Whistler
Nairn Falls Provincial Park – Looking for a nice lunch break?  Nairn Falls has picnic tables, and it's a 1.5 mile (2.5 km) hike on a level trail to the falls overlook.
Pemberton – Take the kids to the u-pick farms in the Pemberton Valley to pick your own strawberries in June, raspberries in July and pumpkins in October.  North Arm Farm is located on Highway 99, McEwan's is north of Pemberton on Pemberton Meadows Rd.
Tip: We drove all the way on Highway 99 to central British Columbia, and it's just spectacular. A nice loop trip from Vancouver is to spend time in Squamish or Whistler, then continue on Highway 99, returning via Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley.
