Southend Pier (Southend) – Where the Thames meets the sea, visit the Southend Pier, the longest pleasure pier in the world.
Walk or ride on the "pier trains" down to the end of the pier, over a mile long.
Close by, take in the Southend Sea Life Centre where you can see marine life in the Thames estuary.
Toddlers will enjoy Never Never Land, a fantasy park with scenes from Badger, Ratty and Mole from Wind in the Willows, Merlin and the dragon, and Jack in the Beanstalk.
