Fuengirola

Fuengirola Sohail Castle

Castillo de Sohail (Sohail Castle) – High on the hill is a restored 10th century castle, built by the Caliph of Cordoba. Kid can walk around the ramparts, explore rectangular towers, admire the rusty cannons pointing towards the ocean, and command an excellent view of the Fuengirola and the beaches below.

Beaches – Fuengirola has almost five continuous miles of flat sand beaches, lined with restaurants and snack bars along a wide promenade, Paseo Maritimo. At the beach, rent beach chairs and umbrellas for the day, pedal boats are also available for rent (the swan shaped boats are very fun).

Mini-tram – Ride the bright red mini-tram in a loop along Paseo Maritimo around the town, past monuments and plazas. This is quick way to get a sense of where things are in Fuengirola.

Waterpark Mijas (Parque Acuatico Mijas) – A short drive outside of Fuengirola, cool off and relax in a water park. This park is designed for families, so whether you have a toddler who wants to play with water bubbles, or a big kid who wants an action packed water slide, it's here.
