Northeast Florida

Northeast Florida has miles of beaches and river inlets, a coast inhabited for centuries by the Timucan people, Spanish colonists, pirates, smugglers, explorers and fisherman. Ponce de Leon, searching for gold and the legendary Fountain of Youth, landed on the northeast coast of Florida in 1513. In St. Augustine, kids can scramble over the walls of a 300+ year old fort that was repeatedly attacked, but never conquered.

Marineland Dolphin Conservation Center (Palm Coast) – At Marineland, kids get an up close and personal look at dolphins. Kids (5 and up) can swim with bottlenose dolphins in shallow water or watch a dolphin paint a picture just for you. Even little kids (3 and up) can touch and feed the dolphins. For teens, swim in deep water and take pictures of your dolphin companions.
