Mark Twain came to Nevada Territory in 1862, and lived in Carson City and Virginia City during the gold and silver mining boom, working as a reporter for the Territorial Enterprise newspaper. When kids visit Virginia City, the Washoe wind still blows hard enough to blow the hair off people's heads. |
