Colorado River Moab
Float trips & rafting In this area of Utah, the Colorado River is perfect for family float trips and whitewater rafting. Float through spectacular red rock canyons, paddle into whitewater rapids, picnic on sandy beaches along the river kids (can build sand castles), camp under the stars, look for pictographs on the cliff walls, water fights feel great on a hot day. Rafting trips are available from early spring to late fall.
Rafting outfitters will provide life jackets, rafting equipment; wear hats, shorts, t-shirts and water shoes or sandals (clothing that can get wet), and slather on the sunscreen. All rafting and float trips can be arranged in the town of Moab.
Scenic float trips Popular float trips, half-day morning or afternoon trips, put in at Fisher Towers. On float trips, your guide will row the raft, all you have to sit is back back and enjoy!
Rafting trips On whitewater rafting trips, everyone has to paddle, and you'll get wet as you go through the rapids. Choose from your own row-raft with a guide, paddle raft with other people, or paddle your own inflatable kayak.
Jetboats Take a ride on the Colorado River on speedy jetboats, skimming over calm waters surrounded by majestic winding canyons. Watch for golden eagles, great blue herons, and mule deer on the river banks. Tours are typically four hours.
Raft & camp A truly memorable experience is two day raft and camping trip spend your day on the river, barbeque buffets, and sleep out under the stars. All camping equipment (tents, cots, sleeping bags) are provided.
Petroglyphs In the cliffs around Moab are super petroglyphs!
Jeep tours and rentals The scenery in this area is so spectacular, you'll want to get out and explore some hard-to-get to areas, off-roads in Canyonlands, or the remote Needles district. Arrange for a jeep tour, or rent a jeep for the day.
