Teton Village

Aerial tram
Aerial Tram – Ride the aerial tram to the top of Mt. Rendezvous (10,450 ft) – it’s as close we can get to mountain climbing in the Teton Range. The tram goes right up into the spectacular craggy peaks, with views of trees and meadows below, like a miniature world. From the tram landing, it’s a short hike to the summit, with amazing views in all direction – the Jackson Hole valley, snow covered mountains, and wide open spaces that seem to go on forever. Another treat, stop into Corbet’s Cabin for waffles or snow cones.
Tip: The tram ticket is also good for unlimited rides on the Teewinot chairlift. Ride the chairlift up and then hike down.
Climbing wall – Kids may not be ready to climb Grand Teton, but they can begin on the 25 ft. climbing wall. Climbing wall is located next to the tram.
Bungee trampoline – Little ones have great fun bouncing high in the sky on the bungee trampoline.
The Ropes – Put on a harness and go for an adventure on ziplines and balance beams on the Aerial Adventure Course.
Rent bikes – From Teton Village, take a bike ride on the seven mile (largely level) bike trail through the sagebrush, with spectacular views of the mountains. At the bike rental, kids’ bikes, helmets and trailers are available.
Go horseback riding – At the Teton Village Trail Rides, one and two hour trail rides, on and easy, scenic trails up into the forest and along the valley. For kids 6 and up.
Phelps Lake - In the Laurence Rockefeller Preserve (just up the road from Teton Village), go on a day hike to Phelps Lake.
The 1.5 mile Lake Trail goes along a cascading creek, up to a sparkling lake nestled under mountain peaks. Along the trail are tons of wildflowers and butterflies zipping around, look for pine martens in the bushes (they like to eat the red berries), and chipmunks around the rocks. At the lake are spots to picnic, benches and sandy places for kids to play, and a trail that goes around the lake.
Tip: In summer, this is a very popular hike, so go early, parking can fill up by 10am in the summer. Or, you can go late in the day, gate to parking area is open.
Winter activities - In winter, Teton Village has skiing and snowboarding for kids, all ages and experience.
