Anchorage |
Anchorage is the largest city in Alaska and almost half the population of Alaska lives here, but it doesn't feel crowded. You'll see moose in Kincaid Park near the international airport, black bears are known to stop into backyard gardens, and beluga whales inhabit Cook Inlet. Anchorage may be your first stop in Alaska, and if you're lucky, on a clear day kids will see the snow covered Chugach Mountains, and the majestic Alaska Range and Mount McKinley in the distance. |
