Antibes, well known for its sun-and-sea, is a family-friendly destination, and centrally located for car day trips along the Cote d'Azur. Originally called "Antipolis," the Romans settled here for five hundred years (great location on the Mediterranean). The old town, Vieil Antibes, is beautifully preserved with pedestrian streets and promenades along the ocean. One family who rented a house in old town Antibes writes, "It was heaven for us." |

Musee Picasso The Picasso Museum has painting, sculpture and pottery by Picasso, who lived and worked in the Chateau Grimaldi in 1946, and the chateau is now an impressive setting for the museum. |
