Stadel Museum This is the biggie art museum in Frankfurt, a biggie anywhere in Europe, for that matter. You'll find works by Dutch painters Rembrandt, Bosch, and Vermeer, and Impressionists Matisse, Renoir, Degas and Monet, but be sure to check out the German painters, Durer, Cranach, Hans Holbein the Younger, and Max Beckmann. |

After
you've done the museums, head for Stadtwald (City Forest) south of Sachsenhausen.
This big park is great for strolling, plenty of trails to stretch your legs, especially in the section called Louisa Park, with its little lakes. Lots of picnic tables and benches, bring your lunch. |
