Munich – Olympic Park (Olympiapark) |
Visit the BMW Museum – Near to the Olympic Park is the BMW Museum on Petuelring. Even if you’re not a car-nut (like the guys in our family), the museum is an art form, chock full of BMWs, motorcycles, racing cars, sport cars, concept and art cars. | |||
After visiting the BMW Museum, go across the way to BMW Welt. On the second floor (next to the restaurant), kids can climb on BMW motorcycles, and pretend they're taking to the road. |

See how cars are made on the BMW factory tour (for older kids and teens, tour last two hours), Monday to Friday, tours are in German and English. |

Go boating – In warm weather, rent pedal boats or row boats and take a turn around the artificial lakes. | |||
Miniature golf – Near the Eissportzentrum is a small mini-golf course, open in summer. | |||
Bike paths – If you've rented bikes, this is a great place to explore, miles of bike paths. | |||
Olympic Tower (Olympiaturm) – Take a ride to the top of the Olympic Tower, it's a very speedy, smooth ride to the top. Kids can see for miles and miles, excellent views of Munich the old city, the Dom, red-tiled roofs, plus the Alps and Austria to the east in the distance! |

Swimming Pool (Olympia Schwimmhalle) – Rain or shine this indoor heated pool is a great place to relax with kids, plus a sauna and trampolines. | |||
Sea Life Munich – When the weather isn't cooperating, step inside to find out about marine life of the Isar River, Danube, and Black Sea, as well as the Mediterranean and tropical oceans. Watch daily feedings of sharks, green sea turtle, and sturgeons, and touch starfish, crabs and sea anemones at the rockpool. | |||
Tram around the park – In summer months, with toddlers, ride the blue and white tram around the park. Pick up the tram next to Sea Life Munich. | |||
Olympic Stadium – Soccer fans in the family will want to get tickets to the Munich soccer team, FC Bayern. Click here for the FC Bayern website. |
