You could easily spend your whole family vacation exploring southeastern Bavaria and the Bavarian Alps. There's something about castles and kids, and here in the Bavarian Alps, you'll find Germany's most famous fairy tale schloss, Neuschwanstein Castle. This area is year round destination - in summer, there's plenty of hiking and water activities for kids on the lakes; in winter it's a snowy wonderland.
