Mouette boat rides – Kids can easily spend hours riding each of the little yellow "Mouette" ferry boats that go back and forth on the lake (free with the Geneva Transport Card). Go from Paquis on the right bank to Molard, Eaux-Vives and Geneve-Plage stops on the right bank. A fourth line goes between Geneve-Plage and De-Chateaubriand, near the Botanical Gardens. |

Lake cruises – Choose a clear day to set out on a cruise around Lake Geneva and you’ll be treated to views of snow-covered Mont Blanc. One-hour guided tours in English are regularly offered, or select the sunset dinner cruise, a real treat on a warm summer evening. Some ships are century-old paddle steamers. Try to book passage on one of these old-time boats – kids will love watching the paddles move through the water. |

Flower clock (Jardin Anglais) – The Swiss are renowned for their clocks and watches, and this gigantic clock is no exception. The flowers change with the seasons, and its second hand, more than eight feet in length, is said to be the largest in the world. |

Petit Train – Ride the red and black mini train (solar-powered tram) from the Jardin Anglais all the way down the left bank, to Geneve-Plage and Parc Eaux-Vives, with stops at the Jet d'Eau and Baby Plage along the way. |

Jet d’Eau – You can’t miss this giant water-jet fountain in the lake just offshore from Geneva at Quai du General-Guisan. A symbol of the city, it shoots water nearly 500 feet in the air at a speed of over 100 miles an hour, sometimes making rainbows. Walk out on the jetty for an up-close experience. The fountain is illuminated at night, and can be seen from the lakefront all around the city. |

Rent boats – Just east of the Jet d'Eau, rent pedal boats or motor boats, and go out on the lake (great exercise for the kids in pedal boats). Life jackets in kids' sizes are provided. |

Baby Plage – Baby Plage is a sandy beach with grassy area, and lake swimming (cordoned off with floats). In the trees, kids can play on the spiffy tire swings, climbing rings and ropes. Relax with an ice cream or drinks at the snack bar next door. |
