Geneva (Geneve) |
Traveling with kids in Geneva is delightful. Situated on Lake Geneva, Geneva is a compact and very walkable city, full of lakeside promenades and lots of nooks and crannies for kids to explore. The Rhone River divides the city’s left and right banks, but the city is easily accessible with zippy trams that go everywhere and yellow ferries cruising back and forth across the lake. With lots of good weather days, plan for "picque-niques" (Geneva is in the French speaking part of Switzerland). |

Tip: Hotels provide a free Geneva Transport Card during your stay, good for all the trams, buses, and Mouette boats. Also, ask at your hotel for Plan de Reseau, a free map of all the lines. Tip: Strollers are okay on trams or boats. |
