Whale Watching Center – Depoe Bay is one of best places for gray whale watching. |

A group of gray whales are residents, and stay year around in the area, June to October is a good time to see them. Also, in winter, and March to June, gray whales migrate from Alaska to Baja, and return north, feeding close to shore. |

Along with gray whales, look for orcas, humpback whales, porpoises, dolphins, seals, sea lions, pelicans. Spotting scopes and binoculars available. Ask the rangers what to look for on a given day. |

The enclosed Whale Watching Center overlooking the ocean is perfect for whale watching in all weather. Located on S. Hwy 101, Center has picnic tables and restrooms. |

Whale watching tours – Go out whale watching tours to see whales close up. Tour leaders communicate with other boats about location of whales, so you're likely to see whales going by. |

1 or 2 hour tours available, life jackets provided. Bring binoculars and warm clothes, it can be drizzly and cold year round, even in summer. Ginger candies are helpful for seasickness. |

Otter Crest Scenic Viewpoint - Cape Foulweather – South of Depoe Bay, this is another good spot for whale watching. Viewpoint is indoors, open Wednesday to Sunday, closed January and February. |
