Tillamook cheese factory
Tillamook Cheese Factory – Visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory where they’ve been making cheese with the same recipe for 100 years (we toured the cheese factory when we were kids ourselves). On the self-guided tour, see vats where the cheese is made, the big yellow blocks cut up and packaged, moving along the conveyor belts. At the end of the tour are free cheese samples.
Tillamook Air Museum – Airplane buffs will want to stop into this museum to check out vintage airplanes, bi-planes, jet fighters, helicopters, a blimp and ride in a jet simulator. The museum is housed in an old World War II wooden hanger, open daily.

Munson Creek Falls – Munson Creek Falls is a super spot for a lunch outdoors in the forest, picnic tables are located next to the parking area. It’s a short walk to the waterfall, the trail goes right along the bubbling creek, under moss-covered trees, and lovely wildflowers in summer.

Tip: The road to Munson Creek Falls off Highway 1001 is a dirt road, not recommended in a rental car.
